Technalign's Pioneer Linux is changing direction based on demand from both the business and free communities. This change in direction brings Pioneer Linux to a new height and a unprecedented longevity. The new framework brings the Pioneer Basic product line to a 7-year lifecycle with additional support for commercial applications.

We've found that our Partners, Solution Providers, ISV/Software Developer Partners, individuals, and companies wanted something more than a 6 month to 18 month lifecycle for a desktop product. Even those desktop products locked down for 3 years didn't provide the needed drivers or even the best open source products. 3 years for a business we found, was not nearly enough. When we speak about servers, we found we needed well more than 5 years.

In comes Pioneer Warrior, the next starting point for carrying Technalign Trailblazer Framework into the future of computing.

Truly the next generation of Linux

March 2007 was our 5 year anniversary. In those 5 years we have been attempting to work with other Linux companies and producers to deliver a solution for consumers as well as business. In those 5 years we've found major disconnects between those companies and what customers were asking for. We had no choice but to address this major disconnect, apply it to a new direction, and move into our new framework - Technalign Trailblazer.

Pioneer Explorer and Pioneer Warrior, allows Technalign to build the base of a 7-year lifecycle for Pioneer Basic. Pioneer Warrior, coming in the first quarter of 2008, will allow us to maintain a 7-year lifecycle on our base workstation and server operating systems.

Technalign software is widely used for private and non-commercial applications. However, Technalign uses open source frameworks, modules, and libraries inside our for-profit products and services. Technalign uses functional encapsulation in the applications, where an open source framework or library is installed on the computer separately from the Technalign products, and the commercial product uses the open source functionality. Telephone systems and the method on which we communicate is changing rapidly, and Technalign is bringing new service to the industry with a simple interface that allows companies to use technology to lower costs. If you don't want to manage your own telephone system, a Technalign Application Service Provider (ASP) will do so for you, you'll only need to have the IP phones and a broadband connection.
